Stage 1 — Profile Auditor

A CLI tool that fetches a GitHub profile via the GitHub REST API and scores it against recruiter-visible signals — bio, repo descriptions, activity recency, stars, and original work — outputting a prioritised fix-it punch-list. Searches for beginner-friendly open-source issues and ranks them using a hand-written insertion sort algorithm based on an approachability heuristic. Then refactored into OOP classes — Repo, User, and Scorer — once the data had a clear shape.

Stage 2 — Cohort Analytics

Scores an entire developer cohort at once by reusing the Stage 1 classes. Loads all profiles into a pandas DataFrame — one row per developer, one column per scoring criterion — and computes percentile rankings with NumPy. Generates two labelled charts: a score distribution histogram with the viewer's own score marked, and a language-mix bar chart. Exports a personalised Markdown report per developer with their score, breakdown, and top three fixes.

Who I Am

Driven by curiosity, grounded by experience.

I'm a dedicated CS student at Louisiana Tech University, working toward a career at the intersection of software engineering and cybersecurity. Alongside my studies, I work as a SOC Analyst — gaining hands-on experience in threat monitoring, incident triage, and security operations using industry tools like Splunk and TekStream MDR.

Currently building GitGauge — a Python tool that audits GitHub profiles and recommends open-source contributions, growing across three stages as my skills develop.
